Museum Passes

Museum passes may be borrowed, free of charge, by Bryant Library cardholders (over 18 years of age) who have a library card in good standing. Passes are subject to availability and are reserved is a first-come, first-served basis. All passes may be reserved up to TWO months in advance. 

Library Pass Borrowing Restrictions:

  • Each museum pass may be reserved once in a 30-day period.
  • Patrons within the same household may reserve only 1 (one) library pass for a particular museum and date. 
  • The Roslyn Cardholder who made the reservation must pick up the museum pass and present their Library card at checkout.
  • The Library reserves the right to monitor usage to ensure fair access to the greatest number of patrons.

The Bryant Library offers 2 types of Museum Passes:
1. PRINT ON DEMAND       2. PICK UP/RETURN at Library

Borrowers are responsible for calling the museum directly for hours of operation, parking or directions. The museum pass may not provide admission to all exhibits at the museum. The Library is not responsible if the museum is unexpectedly closed.

Who may pick up my Museum Pass?

The Roslyn Cardholder who made the reservation must pick up the museum pass and present their Library card at checkout.

When may I pick up my Museum Pass?

Passes may be picked up on the reservation date. It is best to make your reservation for the day that you want to pick up your pass.

Do you have to be a Roslyn cardholder to borrow a museum pass?

A: Yes. You need to be a Roslyn cardholder, over 18 years of age.

Where can reservations for Museum Passes be made?

A: Reservations can be made from The Bryant Library website . Patrons may also visit or call the Reference Desk to make a reservation.

Do the passes have restrictions?

Yes. Passes are subject to availability, and are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. Only one pass per museum may be borrowed per cardholder every thirty days. In other words, you can reserve a pass to each museum once per month. Passes can be reserved up to sixty days in advance. Patrons within the same household may reserve only 1 (one) library pass for a particular museum and date. The Roslyn Cardholder who made the reservation must pick up the museum pass and present their Library card at checkout.

For how long can you borrow a pass and when do they need to be returned?

A: There are two types of passes with different borrowing guidelines.

·     For Pick up/Return at Library Passes: Museum passes circulate for two (2) days and are checked out and returned at the Circulation. We recommend that you reserve them well in advance. We suggest making the reservation for the date you want to pick up the pass.

·     For Print on Demand Passes: These passes can be printed at home or at the Library. Make sure you request the pass for the day that you wish to use it. This pass is valid for one day only – the date of visit listed on the confirmation page. Please print the physical pass to ensure admission; not all museums honor passes shown on a mobile device.

·     For both types of passes, patrons are responsible to check the operating hours of the Library on the day that you are picking up and returning a Museum Pass. Patrons are also responsible to check the Museum’s hours for the date of the planned visit.

What is the penalty for a pass that is returned late?

A: Late fee:  $5 per day.

What is the penalty for a lost pass?

A: Lost pass: depends on replacement fees.

How do I see which passes are available?

A: If a pass is available to be reserved, you will see a button that says, “Reserve Now.”

How may I cancel a reservation?

For Pick up/Return Passes:
A. You may cancel a Pick up/Return reservation from home by following these steps: 
1) Go to the “Museum Passes” page on the Bryant Library website 
2) Click “Request Museum Passes Here” 
3) Sign in to your account by clicking on the “Arrow” on the top right corner of the page
4) Enter your library barcode on the next page
5) The next screen will display your current reservations and a link to your past reservations
6) Find the reservation you want to cancel  and click “cancel” next to the pass.  
For Print on Demand:
Please call the Reference Desk to cancel at 621-2240 ext. 240.
We depend on patrons to cancel any reservation that they do not intend to use so that the pass will be available for someone else.
