The elevator is scheduled to be replaced between August 23 and September 17, 2010.

While there will be some disruption in the Library, as of now the Board of Trustees plans to keep the Library open as much as possible while work is being done. The building may need to close for one or two days for the more labor intensive work in order to keep both the public and staff safe.  There will be no programs during that time period.  As additional information becomes available it will be posted on the Library's Web site and on flyers in the building.

All programs currently scheduled will continue until such time as the work begins on the elevator. Programs scheduled to take place on the second floor of the Library are accessible to all patrons via the entrance located on East Broadway. Parents with young children and strollers may enter the Children's Department at the entrance in the lower parking lot.

Patrons who are unable to utilize the stairs to access the main floor restroom facilities must exit via the second floor entrance and re-enter the main floor via the front entrance. 

The Library staff will be happy to assist in any way possible to direct patrons accordingly.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may present to our patrons.
